The PREP-RI online module series aims to increase the capacity of municipal officials and staff to make effective decisions supporting resilience to climate change impacts today and in the future, which will in turn enhance the health, safety and welfare of Rhode Island communities. The six 10-minute modules, which will focus on the topics of Climate Change, Flooding, Stormwater, Infrastructure Impacts, Adaptation, and Mapping Tools, aim to provide an understanding of the implications of a changing climate in Rhode Island. Relevant examples and lessons learned from other communities are included in the modules, as well as ways to incorporate appropriate resources and tools in decision-making processes. The module series builds upon existing State efforts and is the product of collaboration among experts from a variety of fields. While the information in this series is geared toward coastal municipalities, much of the information will be helpful for inland communities as well.
